Registration is now open for the 2026-27 Future Lady Cavers Basketball season for girls in 4th–8th grade!
Future Lady Cavers Basketball is the youth girls basketball program supporting Lady Cavers Basketball and Grants Pass High School. Our goal is to provide girls with a great basketball experience while developing their skills, learning to compete, and building relationships with their teammates and future Lady Cavers.

Grants Pass High School
All players should attend tryouts.
Teams will be announced September 19, with practices beginning the week of September 22.
Players will try out for teams specific to their grade level.
Players will try out together and be selected for either the Blue Team or White Team. These teams will not be grade-specific.
Teams will be selected by Coach Lackey and the Grants Pass High School coaching staff.
One of the biggest changes this season is increased involvement from the Lady Cavers High School coaching staff.
The GPHS coaching staff will coach our fall middle school teams with parent volunteers assisting where needed. Our 4th and 5th grade teams will continue to be coached by parent volunteers under the direction of Coach Lackey.
Coaches for each team will be announced during the week of tryouts.
Teams will practice and compete in the Southern Oregon youth basketball league.
Estimated first games: Saturday October 17th
Estimated final league games: Sunday December 13th
Beginning in January, teams will transition into weekend tournament play around Southern Oregon and throughout the state.
A separate player availability form will be sent in December once the tournament schedule is finalized.
There will be no additional registration or payment required for the winter tournament schedule.

Dates and schedules are subject to change.
Future Lady Cavers will use email and GameChanger for team communication, schedules, practices, games, and program announcements.
Families may notice teams already listed in GameChanger. Those teams were carried over from last season and do not represent the 2026-27 team rosters. GameChanger will be updated after tryouts and team selections.
Registration and payment are handled through Zeffy, a platform designed for nonprofit organizations.
During checkout, Zeffy may ask if you would like to make an optional contribution to Zeffy. That contribution does not go to Future Lady Cavers Basketball.
If you do not want to make an additional contribution:
Select “Other” from the contribution menu and enter $0.
This allows the club to receive the full amount of your registration payment without traditional credit-card processing fees.
